DUAL CITIZENSHIP
General Information
Pursuant to R.A. 9225, otherwise known as the Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003 (more commonly known as the Dual Citizenship Law), natural-born citizens of the Philippines who have become citizens of another country through naturalization may be eligible to reacquire or retain their Philippine Citizenship upon taking the Oath of Allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines.
Under this Act, unmarried children of those who retain/reacquire Philippine citizenship who are below eighteen (18) years of age may also acquire Philippine citizenship provided they are included in the original petition of their parents.
Requirements:
Principal applicant
1. Personal appearance : to take the Oath of Allegiance to the Republic before a consular officer
2. A Petition under Oath, duly accomplished and signed, form available at the Embassy. (3 originals)
3. The applicant’s original PSA issued Birth Certificate and 2 Photocopies
4. Marriage Certificate from PSA, if married. Original and 2 photocopies.
5. Six (6) passport-sized photographs, front view, white background.
6. Three (3) photocopies of personal data page of Philippine and foreign passports.
7. Three (3) photocopies of current National I.D. with English translation.
8. Three (3) photocopies of Certificate of current Citizenship with English translations.
Dependent child
1. Birth Certificate from PSA or Report of Birth from the Philippine Embassy or Consulate General (Original and 2 photocopies)
2. Philippine or foreign passport (3 photocopies of data page)
3. 3 passport size pictures

Dependent child - 300 MAD
