PHILIPPINE NON-RESIDENT AMBASSADOR TO GUINEA PRESENTED COPIES OF CREDENTIALS TO FOREIGN MINISTER MORISSANDA KOUYATÉ
H.E. Leslie J. Baja and Guinean Foreign Minister Morissanda Kouyaté
18 February 2022 – Philippine non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea Leslie J. Baja paid a courtesy call on and presented copies of his credentials to H.E. Morissanda Kouyaté, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, African Integration and Guineans Abroad, today in Conakry.
During the call, the two officials underscored the friendly relations between the Philippines and Guinea, as well as the need to substantiate the same through the signing of bilateral agreements and increasing people-to-people exchanges. The Philippines and Guinea reaffirmed their commitment to revitalize, strengthen, and deepen their partnership over the next few years leading up to the celebration of the 50 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2030.

Ambassador Baja also conveyed his appreciation to the people of Guinea for the hospitality and good treatment they extended to Filipinos living and working in the country. He also underscored that the Filipinos in Guinea are the better ambassadors of the Philippines who serve as bridge between Guinea and the Philippines.
The courtesy call was followed by a brief interview by the Guinean media and a meeting with Madame Mamaklas Traore, Director for Asia Department, and Ambassador Framoi Mara, Chief of Protocol of the Guinean MFA. END
