GENERAL AGREEMENT ON ACADEMIC COOPERATION SIGNED BETWEEN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE PHILIPPINES AND MOROCCO

Representatives from Université International de Rabat, the Philippine Embassy in Rabat, and De La Salle College of Saint Benilde

25 April 2023 – The De La Salle College of Saint Benilde (DLS CSB) and the Université International de Rabat (UIR) have recently signed a General Agreement that would facilitate their cooperation through educational and academic exchanges.

The Agreement specifically provides for partnership on undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of engineering, computer science, management and business, political science, and economics, student exchange programs for regular and summer semesters, development of joint research activities in areas of mutual interest, academic and research networking, exchange of academic publications, cooperation in executive education programs in Morocco, development of mutually beneficial academic programs and courses, exchange of academic faculty for purposes of teaching and research, and reciprocal assistance for visiting academic staff and students.

The Agreement was signed by DLS CSB Vice Chancellor for Academics Mr. Angelo Marco U. Lacson and Dean Ms. Ma. Magdalena De Leon, and UIR President Mr. Noureddine Mouaddib.

As part of its work program, the Embassy is trying to facilitate more cooperation agreements between Philippine and Moroccan educational institutions to improve people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. END
