During the meeting, ANDA officials provided a briefing on the marine aquaculture sector in Morocco which includes the national development strategy, investment incentives introduced by the New Investment Charter of Morocco, and the agency’s initiatives and projects to improve the technology, encourage research and development in the sector, and promote corporate social responsibility by supporting young entrepreneurs and small-scale fisherfolks.

After the briefing, the ACR Heads of Missions and ANDA officials exchanged views on how to improve bilateral cooperation in the aquaculture sector such as linking private companies in Morocco and ASEAN, organizing visits to small-scale and industrial-scale fish and shellfish farms and other aquaculture facilities, and facilitating meetings between relevant stakeholders in Morocco and ASEAN.
