"LOVE THE PHILIPPINES" TOURISM CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED IN MOROCCO

29 January 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Rabat, in partnership with Etihad Airways, conducted a Philippine Tourism Conference for Moroccan travel agencies and tour operators, in partnership with Etihad Airways, on 29 January 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Casablanca.

In his welcoming remarks, H.E. Leslie J. Baja, Philippine Ambassador to Morocco,  encouraged the Moroccan tourism stakeholders to promote the Philippines to their clients, highlighting the unique experiences and warmth of Filipino hospitality which sets the Philippines apart from its Southeast Asian neighbors. He also underscored how Moroccans have the luxury of making a last-minute decision to visit the Philippines as they could enter the country visa-free for 30 days.

PTC 5Club Agutaya’s co-owner Ms. Dixie Mariñas briefed the participants on the available amenities and activities in the resort

Representatives from the Department of Tourism (DOT) Office in London and from the Philippine private sector delivered presentations on what the Philippines has to offer to foreign tourists, including information on top destinations and activities, climate, food and drink, festivals, culture, connectivity, sample itineraries, and diverse accommodations. The Embassy also presented some of the DOT’s tourism promotion videos and distributed consolidated brochures to the guests.

The event was graced by fifteen (15) representatives from twelve (12) Moroccan travel agencies.

The Philippine Embassy will continue to facilitate coordination between Philippine and Moroccan tourism stakeholders to boost people-to-people exchanges and increase economic linkages between the two countries.
