18 February 2024, Rabat – With this year’s theme “Ani ng Sining, Bayang Malikhain”, the Philippine Embassy in Rabat commemorated the National Arts Month by organizing a painting workshop for the members of the Filipino community, and screening of the music video “Ani ng Sining” performed by Karylle and Yael Yuzon and produced by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts on 18 February 2024 at the Chancery.

Through the guidance of Ms. Veronica Expert, a full-time art instructor, painter, and gallerist based in Paris and Tangier, participants learned basic painting techniques which enabled them to create their own Filipiniana-themed masterpieces. Some of them have expressed interest in pursuing painting as a hobby and requested the Embassy to organize similar art workshops in the future.

The painting workshop was participated in by fourteen (14) members of the Filipino community and representatives from the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Rabat. END
