FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN MOROCCO SHARE PASKONG PINOY 2023 PROCEEDS WITH MS. FIDELA ARANETA

Following the successful conclusion of the 3rd edition of Pistang Pinoy 2024 on 9 June 2024, Filipino community leaders donated the proceeds of Paskong Pinoy 2023 to Ms. Fidela Araneta, a Filipino resident of Rabat.

Ms. Araneta, 55 years old, was chosen to receive the donation due to her present medical condition, symbolizing the Filipino community's solidarity and support. Ms. Araneta has been working as a household service worker in Morocco since 2007.

The Pistang Pinoy and Paskong Pinoy are celebrated annually, bringing the Filipino community together through music, dance, and cuisine. These events are not only an opportunity to celebrate Philippine cultural heritage, they also allow the community to show their solidarity to those in need. END
