PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN RABAT SUPPORTS CAMPAIGN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN

The Philippine Embassy in Rabat commemorated the 18 – day campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) in its flag-raising ceremony held on 2 December 2024, as part of its efforts to raise awareness during this period. The campaign is annually observed by the Philippines from November 25 to December 12 as mandated by Proclamation 1172 s. 2006.

The Embassy has also made available and distributed brochures regarding Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, to clientele availing services offered at the Embassy during this period to further spread awareness and knowledge among the Filipino community regarding this campaign.
